[NTLUG:Discuss] SANE, Scanners and front panel buttons

I've just started testing my scanner using SANE. Seems to work 
so far. One thing I've always liked about my scanner was the 
front panel 'copy' button. Press the button and a little bit
later... out comes a copy on my printer. 

Does anyone know of any programs that will read the buttons
on a scanner when they are pressed?
