[NTLUG:Discuss] decompilers?

Hello all:

I have, over the last week, received 5 viruses in my e-mail at home.
Luckily I am running Linux.  With all the increase in worms and trojans, I
am beginning to get curious about how they are put together.  I am also
beginning to learn how to program myself.  My interest is in assembler.  But
I want to disect these worms.  Is there a tool I can use to decompile the
