I don't understand what you mean about floppies, "but they don't work on 
the other one."?

You should be able to transfer your OO files the same as you would 
transfer any other files and floppy disk SHOULD be as good as any. Or 
network the two computers together, (ethernet / crossover cable maybe?), 
use samba or ftp or ssh.  You can get free version of ssh for MS Windows:
