If both M$ Windows and Linux are on the same machine (I think that is 
what you are suggesting.) Make a small fat32 (or large for all data) 
partition. It will be writable by Linux and Micro$oft. Use it for data 
in both OS platforms. I would mount it under my home directory because I 
am lazy.

If they are on different machines it is even easier to use SAMBA to 
cross mount both PCs.
