I DO have Wine running, but if the sites don't specifically call it, why
would Wine interact with it? Or do the sites do things (like make
calls) that Wine interprets as calls to it?

I'm not having just a whole lot of luck with Wine. I am on the
Wine-users list, and I'm running the newest version of Wine from
February '04, which I've been told has problems. I'm planning on
reverting back to the December 2003 version, which I've been told by one
of the Wine support guys is the most stable version. I hope it solves
some of the problems I've been having trying to get Windoze progs
running...which you wouldn't THINK would be all that hard since this box
already has them installed on a Win98 partition and are accessible as
/mnt/hda1.
