Does anyone know how to call gnome-terminal to start up a session
on a existing window in a new tab? Say that I have a gnome-terminal
window started.... the --help for gnome-terminal says that you can
do gnome-terminal --tab and that is supposed to open a tab in the
'last window that was opened' but all it does ( for me ) is open
up a new window. I've tried several different combinations of
options, but I still end up with multiple windows.
I want to make a 'menu' for my gnome-terminal sessions that I can
use to start new sessions in new tabs on an existing window. I don't
like the built in menu.
Any info would be appreciated. I'm also open to other suggestions for
multi-tabed terminals. I generally have 10+ sessions ( ssh ) opened to
different systems.
Thanks - jack
