Ok, I'm not sure what's wrong...I removed the old Mozilla from this box,
had been 1.0.2. Did an rpm -e mozilla, it was gone. I was unable to
find a valid rpm for Red Hat 8.0...rpmfind didn't have them and one that
was suggested to me from some other guys website needed some "at" thing
I didn't have.
I gave up and downloaded the tar.gz file from mozilla, went to
/usr/local/mozilla and untarred it. It ran once, now it returns this
when starting from a command line....
[Wayne-KDE at newcomputer mozilla]$ ./mozilla-bin
./mozilla-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libmozjs.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
I thought at first it might be a broken symlink, but the file it says it
can't open as it doesn't exist is in the directory...
[Wayne-KDE at newcomputer mozilla]$ ls -l libmozjs.so
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 525384 Jan 13 14:10 libmozjs.so
I thought maybe it was because my user as not authorized since I
installed it as root, but
[Wayne-KDE at newcomputer mozilla]$ ls -l mozilla-bin
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1767879 Jan 13 14:09 mozilla-bin
It would appear other users and groups have access...soooo...I'm kinda
lost here. Any ideas? FWIW, I get the same thing if I log on as root
and attempt to run it. What's getting me is that it started once after
I ran the installer and now it won't start at all.
Thanks,
Wayne
