Ok, I tried the < /sbin/route add default ppp0 > with no luck.
Try 1: after connecting with kppp as user, open terminal, su & execute
the route command. Results: no change. Pings result in 100% packet loss.
Try 2: on boot, with initial root login, kppp not running. Result:
'device not found' error. Appears to require kppp to be running to have
the device or my modem is something besides ppp0. However, it did take
the command in 'Try 1' above when kppp had made connection, so it would
appear that device ppp0 does exist when the modem is connected under the
user account.
Any other ideas?
Best regards,
Dan F.
