However, not in the USA.  Realize that everything you do on
a corporation's network belongs to them... everything.  Notifying
the user is a security thing.  It keeps people from doing evil
things (a good thing).  However, you don't have to tell them they are
being monitored.

If you don't want people to see what you are doing... unplug.
However a better strategy is to not do things that you don't
want other people to see.
