Hi all. First post to this list.
I'm working with a church that currently has two phone lines, one fax
line and one answering machine. Problem is that there is no privacy
when someone calls in and I'd like to help by setting us a three modem
linux box that allows people to call in do several things:
1) Individual mailboxes for staff
2) Remote retrieval (via phone and within the LAN (from web not so
important, but would be nice))
3) Fax viewing capability to view and then print (from within LAN)
4) ?Message forwarding? - not vital
5) caller ID
6) ?Different message based on Caller ID - not vital
I've turned up the following:
http://www.vocpsystem.com/
http://www.asterisk.org/
slashdot suggestions:
http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/01/02/1935217&mode=nested&tid=185
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
Thanks,
Kermit
