Actually, that's all the X100Ps and TDM10-40Ds are... WINMODEMS! Believe it
or not, they are just plain old winmodems. Well, not just ANY plain old
winmodem..they are a windmodem that has a specific driver written and
supported by Digium. When I ordered my hardware, they gave me free tech
support to get it installed and configured. They even had a recall on
their product because there was some excessive static on the line. THEY
called me up and asked if they could send me some replacement cards at no
cost. WOW! Talk about customer service!

* is very flexible. I use it for various applications. Just to give you a
sample of what I'm doing with two lines.. 1 home line with distinctive ring,
and one business line with unlimited long distance (AT&T by the way)...
Look at this in your favorite non-proportional font viewer. the Telezapper
plays those annoying three tones you get when you dial a number that is not
in service. It's used to disconnect computer dialed calls.

; Priority dial-out line from extensions 201&202 is business line
; backup dial-out line for extensions 201&202 is homeline
; alternate dialout line is a remote PBX trunk in context TSJLDTRUNK (not
shown here)
....other outgoing groups route calls out various trunks as needed.

Yes, it's a bit sophisticated..and YES they need better documentation..or a
better listing of where to find existing documentation...

I pulled an all nighter one night only to find a bug in the software that, I
am proud to report, was corrected on the second try after only TWO days ....
once a bugzilla report was submitted.

* ... I vote YES.

Chris, I'll see about hitting up Digium for some hardware for a
presentation.
