- or what exactly. I always install Redhat without a gui
- using the text mode install....
It wouldn't do an installation over the serial link..
It tried to talk to the (non-existant) graphics adapter for
everything.. Otherwise, yes, it was a text mode install.
Perhaps things have changed, it was a few years ago, but
it was still souring, especially given my experience installing
NetBSD on SPARC, UltraSPARC, and Alpha systems at the time. And
installing Debian coped well with the idea of a serial console
too.
