sorry folks.  I see in the discuss digest my email looks like gobbledygook.
Apparently Chris could read it, but this sorry-excuse for an email client I
use here (Lotus Notes 5.0.8) sent that out and then couldn't read the
returned message!

does anyone know why it's doing that?  My header says:
...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=big5
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Precedence: list
...

I know I have changed anything here in 3 years; did the list server change?
