They might not want to provide it, because it might seem like they are
guaranteeing compatibility.  But I wish stores would make available a
machine with a decent Internet connection for customers to look up such
information.  Will hardware X work with Linux?  It would be nice to look
it up online at the store, instead of having to run home and then come
back.
