I have used Eraser for deleting files and clearing empty space using 
multiple passes and patterns in Windows:
http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/

But, just so you know, the killdisk method of erasing an entire hard 
disk appears to be a single pass zeroing of the data - you can achieve 
the same result by dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hdwhatever (I think, correct 
me if I'm wrong - gurus).
