Attaching the wireless router to your internal network seems to be a
bigger security risk to me. My wireless router is _outside_ my
firewall...I therefore don't worry about anyone compromising the router
via a firmware bug, etc, and then having access to my internal network.
I connect to my internal network from my wireless laptop via ssh'ing
thru my firewall, just as I would from anywhere else in the world.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't want anything but "wired" connected to
my internal network.
I don't even run encryption on the wireless router, as WEP can be broken
anyway. If someone wants to sit at my front curb and access the
internet, so be it (since my internal network is safe).
