Well, they probably all have their problems. Wireless devices are
pretty complicated and sensitive devices. They have ethernet network
interfaces, they have transmitters and receivers, web servers and other
software driven functions (firewall, NAT, DHCP.. etc ) that are or can
be problematic, they require periodic firmware upgrades, all sorts of
stuff that can go haywire.

I will concede one thing about linksys though, that Cisco has caused
degradation to their wireless product line. It appears they've made
numerous changes to just about all the wireless devices, hardware and
software, and not for the good.

I've got one of their bridges and it's worked fine for about a year, but
comparing it to recently bought ones, I "wouldn't trade it for the
world". The new ones have different web based gui interface, more
complicated and for no reason. The signal readings are stupidly off,
it shows zero percent signal strength when it's still doing reliable
communications, so that tells you right there that it's not accurate.
(They've made the reports more stingy, but inaccurate for sure because
it's impossible to have zero percent signal strength and still be
receiving a signal.) The transmitter appears to be weaker too, I think
the radios are different, (Cisco makes radios, linksys does not, (they
were made by third party) ). And, well, that's about it so far.

I also have a Wireless access point and the wan port is dead, [after one
year of good service]. I too am still using it, (as a wireless hub).
