Not even desktop as in end user, as in PC, [personal computer]?
I think it's here and now for both.
What about the guy at frys that was quoted as saying, "there's nothing
Linux can do that Windows can't do", hummm .. Right? Wrong?
Ok, how about the other way around, "there's nothing MS Windows can do
that Linux can't do", ... Right? Wrong?
I'm happily using Linux as a desktop and know plenty of others that are
as well, that have ditched MS Windows completely and do everything they
need and want to do just fine with Linux.
There are businesses that use it too but I will agree, not all could
make the transition completely, they're too deeply involved in some
applications that really need the MS platform, but most could turn a
great deal of their computer assets over to the Linux OS and do just
fine with it and an awful lot of them could turn it ALL over to Linux
and it may not save money in the short term but it sure would in the
long term.

I totally agree there.

Yes, I agree, it's pretty accurate, not totally accurate but not bad.

It was just a friend of mine, a MS user, who will remain anonymous.
And like I said, I think it's a good article, mostly accurate too.
