[NTLUG:Discuss] Suggestions for M$ app replacements?

I have a question about mail agents. I'm using Evolution which is great
for me. I'm trying to think of ways of getting my wife off M$ products
altogether and I'm thinking of the applications she uses. She uses
Netscape for web surfing, so that's a non-issue. Evolution is over kill
for her. She uses Eudora for email, and likes Weatherbug (which I've seen
described on /. as spyware...can anyone tell me why? My wife loves it),
Intellicasts desktop app and I think that's about it for M$ specific apps.
I could get her to use Electric Eye (which would probably be easier than
getting her to use the Gimp...again, overkill) to view pics with.
Specifically, I'm interested in which GUI email agents would be good
without being overly complex (like Eudora) and any suggestions for the
other apps as well. Weatherbug says they're coming up with a Linux/Mac
port, but have no timeline and Intellicast has no discernable plans to
offer a Linux/Mac port. And please don't suggest Kweather...it's not even
close to either of the other two weather apps. I use it, but my wife will
hate it.

Here's hoping you have more understanding wives than mine....thanks.
