Charter's cable service [data only] has been stable and incident free other 
than brief outages due to sever weather once or twice.  Not long after I 
signed up, Charter bumped service to 3M/256k without a fee 
increase.  Support is the same as any other provider's --- 
lackluster.  Anyone who knows their way around a PC, network, or an OS the 
way most of you reading this message do ... you probably know more than the 
folks at the NOC.

I had SBC DSL at my former home and I find that the sheer speed of cable 
blows the doors of DSL !!!!    To coin a phrase --- IT ROCKS.
