  And I guess you are running the copy of Xine that came with SuSE 9. 
That won't work.  Head over to http://packman.links2linux.org/
and het the latest version of Xine and all its components for SuSE. 
They will have everything except the decryption code.  Save that piece
from your current setup.  Install their versions and SUSe will do a nice
job of video,  This site is a kind of unofficial repository for extra
stuff for SuSE.  It is prettymuch like the Penguin Liberation Front is
for Mandrake, but not quite as easy to use.  Packman used to have the
decryption code, but a changein European laws forced them to remove it.
