I only spent ten minutes playing with Linspire, but I recall there were
dire warnings about the dangers of using apt-get directly -- something
along the lines that it might make your system incompatible with the
fully-integrated Linspire operating system.  So while it is true that
one could try to apt-get one's way out of Linspire, I don't think the
company sees apt-get as a way to stay current with Linspire.

Can one use apt-get to stay current with Linspire?  Does Linspire offer
deb and deb-src lines for sources.list?
