And going beyond that, ultimately, you're _not_ supposed to modify
"/etc/bash.bashrc" either.  Local-specific stuff is supposed to go in
"bash.bashrc.local" (let alone the "/etc/profile.d" directory).  I've
found different SuSE versions work differently on that too.

Again, this exam was in _real_ need of a beta run.  It didn't have one. 
Quite often people ass-u-me how things are _supposed_ to work, and
actual is quite different.

P.S.  Kinda reminds me of taking a MCSE 2000 exam.  How ActiveDirectory
in "native" mode is supposed to work, which is not how it actually
works.  If you know how it actually works, you'll get various answers
marked _wrong_ on the exam.
