[NTLUG:Discuss] SMTP authentication question

I want to configure my SMTP server (internal to my LAN) to send all outgoing 
traffic to another SMTP server out on the net.  The problem is the outside 
SMTP server requires user authentication.  How can I get sendmail to send 
all outbound SMTP traffic to another SMTP server with authentication?  I 
haven't yet found any documentation on this.  Is it possible with the 
current version of sendmail?

Clients are good about being able to supply authentication, but what about 
another server?
