[NTLUG:Discuss] OSS BB solutions.....?????

I have some friends that run a BB and are needing to move from their 
current hosting/software solutions.
The host they use is charging way too much for them and they are 
changing host, unfortunately this means the proprietary software they 
have been using for the BB will not be available.
I mentioned that I would look for an OSS BB and host for them.
Does anyone know of such a beast?

They are willing to shamelessly promote what is powering their board if 
they can get treated better than now (which would be easy).

So you guys think one of the distros would go for something like this?
