That's the one for FC1, get the one for FC2:
http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/2/i386/RPMS.os/gtk+-1.2.10-29.1.1.i386.rpm
Remember, FC1 is basically a ".2" (CL3.2), whereas FC2 is basically a
".0" (CL4.0) and a new series for "binary compatibility." See my links
in my sig below for more discussion.
Sure, CL3-EL3 (RHL8/RHL9/FC1-RHEL3) and CL4/EL4 (FC2/FC3[/FC4-RHEL4])
are probably the most inter-binary compatible versions since RHL5 and
RHL6.**
But you still want to make sure you run the actual package for the
specific revision if it is available. In the case of GTK+ 1.2, it's
still there. It works for me because I can run Galeon 1.2.

**NOTE: Not surprisingly, the same "headache" everyone had in adopting
RHL5 with GLibC 2 paid off when RHL6 shipped with kernel 2.2 and its
basic requirement, just like FC2+ now with kernel 2.6 and Red Hat's
backporting of NPTL. Red Hat always "looks ahead" and "pushes the
envelope when it comes to accomodating future binary compatibility.
