I'll be kind. I've been on the NTLUG mailing list for the last 7 years 
or so. I have both given and received help and information. I have 
enjoyed the relaxed nature of the majority of discussions. I think you

I remarked in an offhand way that the Solaris offer was off topic, but 
it is definitely not off list. As administrators of heterogenous 
networks, the solaris software express program's offering (the free 
DVD)  is of great interest and relevance to some of us. Per the 
guidelines it is 'Linux related' - specifically with respect to NIS+ and 
other important networking software.
