FYI, that "attitude" was _not_ directed at Terry.
But since I quoted him, it may have looked like it was.
My apologies Terry.

I tried to help "someone" understand some things off-list. I've gotta
stop taking those types of e-mails. I really don't have time to help
people, especially if they have an agenda against Red Hat.

If you don't like Red Hat, don't use their products. You are free to
prefer another vendor, you'll get no qualms from me. From a business
tactics standpoint, they are very Microsoft-like in cut-throat dealings,
so I'm sure that turns some people off.

But they are the most GPL-centric commercial Linux entity, by far, so we
all win thanx to Red Hat. Especially with their registering open
patents and "you close it up and we'll buy you out and make it GPL."
Don't think for a second that IBM won't use its patents if and when it
can (they are already against Linux-partner HP).

So don't try demonize Red Hat with things that simply aren't true.

I didn't write the "Unofficial Red Hat Distribution FAQ" for nothing.
So far, all I've heard is "it's about damn time someone wrote it."
But some people are still talking as far back as so-called "broken" Red
Hat Linux 5.0. You can't do anything for those people.

P.S. I'm also a huge proponent of Debian, Debian-based Xandros and
post-Novell purchase SuSE, so I'm not a total bigot (even if I play one
on LUG TV ;-).
