[I never saw my week-old post, so sorry if this is dupl]
I don't remember all that I asked but the basis of my questions are:
1) Have you tried Mandrake's "GlobeTrotter"? If so, please explain
your likes/dislikes. Off-list is fine by me.
2) Has anybody done a home-brewed version like this product?
FYI, the Mdk GlobeTrotter is an external USB HD that has Linux
pre-loaded as bootable. Apparently, you are able to boot most PCs
from it (thereby running Linux) without altering that PC's HD. I think
it keeps knowledge of the PC's configuration and has a home dir --
so is a lot better than a bootable CD/DVD.
