If you want easy - use bridges, (wireless ethernet bridges). No
drivers to load, just "plug-n-play", you can do it yourself,
regardless of your level of Linux expertise, as long as you know the
basics of networking.
It's the same issue you find with modems - [internal] software modems
vs [external] modems. Internal software modems require software
drivers, external modems are stand alone devices, no software drivers
needed. Wireless ethernet bridges are stand alone devices, no software
[drivers] needed.
If there's considerable distance, (need a strong signal), the Linksys
WET-11 wireless ethernet bridge has RF power output of 100 milliwatts.
(Point of reference, Netgear's MA-301 has output of 20 milliwatts.)
I personally preferr all Linksys equipment, access points and bridges.
Linksys uses Linux software [as firmware] in their devices, and while
that's not to say the equipment is better or more reliable, I prefer
the software they use.
