[NTLUG:Discuss] Lost boot Loader

On my dual 98/FC-2 boot system I reinstalled my windows and it took out the
linux boot loader. Now when I try to bring it back I by choosing update it
with FC2 it goes through the steps but in the end says Boot loader will
remain the same and I can't get my linux back.
Do I have to do complete re-install. Is it possible to keep my old stuff and
get my linux back if so how.?
