Mandrake is worth a look-see.  I have not taken an in depth look at the 
new 10.1 release yet.  My last upgrade was 9.1 and it was very solid. 
Install is pretty easy with MDK with the basic defaults are oriented 
toward workstation installs.

Worth note, MDK is compiled for x586 class CPUs where most others are 
compiled for x386 class CPUs.  This does effect overall performance.
