Try checking the Suse website.  Their help database might have something 
in it.

Also, try again, but before it reaches 100%, try going to one of the 
virtual terminals (e.g. alt-f1, alt-f2, etc.) and see if you can find a 
console log sort of screen to see what it's doing.  I know the older 
versions did that, but I don't remember at what point they started 
writing and that you could switch to see them.  I'm thinking you want to 
check VT's 2, 3, 4, and/or 10.  Sorry, but it's been over a year since 
I've needed to do this.
