Greetings.
You would think that I, of all people, would know that just because
software has started, does NOT mean it is working correctly, or even
working!
I have worked through the issues that were preventing mailman and
sendmail from being installed and running at the same time (I will post
to a webpage when I get everything working). Now, when I try to send a
message to the J2EE SIG list, I get;
The original message was received at Fri, 10 Dec 2004 06:23:56 -0600
from edge.buz.net.65.123.206.in-addr.arpa [206.123.65.84] (may be forged)
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
"|/usr/lib/mailman/mail/mailman post j2ee"
(reason: 2)
(expanded from: <j2ee at j2eeguys.com>)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
Failure to exec script. WANTED gid 67, GOT gid 2.
554 5.3.0 unknown mailer error 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------
+++
There are similar messages in the log, but not what is causing them.
FYI, Gid 2 == DAEMON on SuSE 9.2 systems. Mailman is running as user
"mailman", but not sure what group it is under. Mailman group is 67,
which is also contents of /etc/mailman.cgi-gid file.
Suggestions?
Regards,
Steve
