Howdy,
I tried the community version on Mandrake 10.1 and the very first
program I wanted to install was not on the CD. There was no Ruby, so I
just set that distro aside. I installed the official 10.1, which became
available last week. It seems good so far. Install it, add the penguin
liberation front sources, and it puts together a pretty nice setup that
I am still testing. The only slight negative I have seen so far is that
Mandrake 10.1's Gnome is only version 2.6. I have been using version
2.8 under Ubuntu and 2.8 is better.
Good day,
Ralph
