You're not giving us much information here, but I'm going to assume
you have a wireless LAN, and that your sharing an internet connection
or some other network through this wireless lan, and that what you're
talking about "connecting to" is a wireless router or "access point",
and that you have a wireless network adapter installed on a PC, and
that PC is running a linux distribution called SimplyMemphis.
(These are all just assumptions, so correct me if I'm wrong.)
If the above is true, say so, correct as needed and we'll go from
there, but also give some additional information, such as what type of
network adapter, PC, router, network, etc. etc.
You need to see if the wireless NIC is installed properly and that you
have necessary software installed.

If you've run iwconfig and received error "no wireless extensions", it
probably means one of three things; 1) you do not have a wireless NIC
installed, 2) your wireless NIC is not installed properly, or 3) the
wireless NIC is installed but driver software is either not installed
or not running.
