Thanks for the response.  I have a Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG card 
connected to a D-Link wireless router.  In the MEPHIS System Center 
Network Status tab: Interfaces eth0 ip: down and eth1 is: down.  Neither 
will start.  Wireless is:  not found.  Misc tab: Use DHCP for DNS is 
selected.  Eth0 tab: Start at system boot is selected.  Use DHCP for IP 
is selected.  eth1 tab:  Start at system boot is selected.  Wireless 
tab: ESSID has network name.  ath0 tab: Start at system boot is not 
selected.  Use DHCP for IP is selected.  wlan tab:  Start at system boot 
is selected.  Use DHCP for IP is selected. 
In the KWifiManager there is no connection and no access point.  In the 
config tab:  Operational Mode is Infrastructure.  Speed setting is Auto. 
Autodetect interface does not appear to work.  Any suggestions would be 
greatly appreciated.
