OT, but might be a long-shot reason:
Perhaps a lot of list-members are not getting all of the NTLUG msgs.
I know I'm not. I get 'em in digest format and the last prior one I
got was Vol 24, issue 80. That means I missed #1-5 of Vol 25 (and
the issues beyond #80 of vol 24, if any).

I haven't narrowed down the cause of the problem so I don't know if
it's a list problem or my ISP messing up. No other emails have been
identified as missing. The problem started (I think) just before the
Christmas week.
