Hey Folks,
I was wandering around my archives this morning and found this post from
Alex back in 97'

I guess SCO always was a low life slimebag company.

I just received this 'Exciting Offer' from SCO in the mail today.
I just had to share this with everyone.

I'm quoting...
'Your Old Linux OS was fine...But, now there's something
that blows it out of the water!'

'I want to bump you out of your comfort zone! (And you'll
	thank me for doing it.)'

'You may feel your Linux is adequate...But, did you know this?
1.Linux has no technical support or maintenance.
2.Linux has no defined strategy for the future.
3.Most important, can your company accept that its viability
as a business depends heavily on a freeware product maintained
by a small number of people on an essentially volunteer basis?
4.Of course there is a challenging aspect to Linux. Just
imagine all the fun you get when you encounter a bug and debug
	the kernel yourself.'

'Compare UnixWare 2.1.2 to the Linux OS you're currently
saddled with. Be honest. Which OS would you really like to
be running on your system right now?'

'Now's the Right Time To Move Up!
	YOUR PRICE....................just $1,495
	You Save $650!!!'

Can you beleive the mis-information in this letter? And Linux users
were the target. Do you sell products by bashing the one currently
installed? I think not! Of course, Eric Anderson (SCO Services Sales)
didn't include an e-mail address in the letter. Maybe he's not too
dumb! This whole thing sounds so much like a company who's pulling
out all the stops to try to maintain market share. They must have
taken lessons from the Democrats, scare tactics, don't vote Rep.
they'll cut your SS check and Medicare....

I'll file this letter in my jokes folder and pull it out when I need
a good laugh!

Alex Coker
