Actually it's still a crap shoot.  Different "vintages" of wine will taste
differently.  You may well be able to run a game on a version of wine
that was produced over a year ago that just won't run today on any
of the variations.

Alot of what cedega brings to the table, though there is their custom
mods to Direct-X... is in the area of copy protection, a big issue
on the more expensive (and often MA rated) games.
