Howdy,
  You can do a full network install of SuSE 9.2 with 4 or 5 floppies,
depending on what device drivers you need.  Everything else can come
from one of several publicly available ftp sites.  This is pretty much
like Debian.  I have done it recently, so I know it works.  Just be sure
and have 160 meg of ram or more.
