Two questions about the desktop wallpaper. I'm running gnome with Fedora FC3.
1). is there a command I can run from a shell to change the wallpaper
background.
I have found a couple of programs, but they don't seem to work. They try and
do more that I need and support different distributions. I just want a
simple command
like:
new_backgroud.sh filename
and poof... I have a new background.
2) When I do change the background, I get the same background on ALL
virtual desktops.... I am pretty sure that the answer is no.... or change window
managers... but just in case there is an answer.... How do you specify a
different wallpaper for each virtual desktop? again... gnome/fedora.
Thanks - jack
