Hi Greg.

Ran your command.  Still no change with mailman.  The webpages are still 
completely offline.  All that happened was that newaliases now refuses 
to run.  Managed to cleanup the /var/lib/mailman/data directory to bring 
newaliases back online, so I am no worse off now than before.

tankjr:/var/lib/mailman # fgrep mailman /etc/passwd
mailman:x:72:67:GNU mailing list manager:/var/lib/mailman:/bin/bash
