I started with the question:
<<
There is a need to know which files within a certain group have the most
activity. The need is to quantify that in some way. Any clues? Thank
you in advance for any help you may be able to offer.
 >>
and then added that I thought I could solve the issue with acctcom,
piping that through wc and awk for the number of lines.
For public information: That's not how acctcom works, so that won't
answer my question. My bad.
The question still stands then, if anyone can offer a clue: Is there a
simple way to count the number of times a given file is accessed.
(operative word being simple)
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer.
Regards
Fred James
