[NTLUG:Discuss] telnet key mapping

i am trying to connect to a system that only works appropriately with
microsoft's hyperterm.  what i want to do is remap some of the keys in
a telnet session so that the server will respond correctly.  one such
key i want to remap is the "Up Arrow" key.  i've found a microsoft
page that details the key mappings; can anyone tell me where/how to
set those mappings in a linux system for telnet?

from the MSDN page:

Up Arrow
0x1B5B41000000
<ESC> [ A <NULL> <NULL> <NULL>
