The JRE plugin is pretty darn simple. I've used all three (Sun, IBM,
Blackdown) and they all worked great for my Slime Volleyball and Yahoo
Pool needs - I can't really speak to pros or cons of each. I remember
there being an issue back when gcc3 was new where you had to make sure
you linked the .so that was compiled with the same gcc that firefox was
compiled with, but I don't think that's an issue anymore.
