I bought an Airlink wireless router and a couple of Airlink
pci cards from Fry's a couple weeks ago because they were
really cheap. Then the fun started. Ultimately I stumbled
across ndiswrapper, which is a really good project that
allows mainly wireless devices to run in Linux using their
Windows drivers. It works really well, even though it makes
the linux purist in me sad to know that there are no linux
drivers for these cards. But, what the hell, who cares as
long as it works? I bought the cards to get a wireless lan
running, and it is.
