[NTLUG:Discuss] Debian vs Ubuntu vs (your hometown hero)

I know that I'll be able to do some similar X editing if it comes to 
that.  I have had loads of practice trying to get the radeon driver to 
actually  use dri with my cheap video card(ATI Radeon 9200SE).

But, I'm still not sure if going with Ubuntu over Debian(or the other 
way around) gains you anything.  What do you get in one that is 
different than the other?  As I see it, it all comes down to the install 
process itself, but I haven't used either of these distros enough to 
tell beyond that.

BTW: Thanks Jack.  I'll be investigating yum before I do anything 
"drastic". :)
