[NTLUG:Discuss] dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

after buying a new monitor i was going to use dpkg-reconfigure to change the 
settings rather than hacking the XF86Config-4 file by hand.

the new monitor is a ViewSonic LCD and i wasn't sure what the LCD specific 
entries are.  the dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 seemed to go ok, but it 
didn't write the file to /etc/X11.  where does it put it?
