I am no expert but I took a cursory look at the page source in Firefox and I
did not see any evidence of some screwy MS tool being used to generate the
page. The only thing I see on the page is javascript and plain old html
(although PHP or similar could be used to generate such a page). The login
at the bottom left appears to be plain old html and pressing the login button
calls javascript:submitForm(). My first question would be, do you have
javascript enabled in Firefox?
In addition, at the top of the page I note that there is a call to a
javascript called akuratus.js. A quick google on Akuratus shows that "The
Akuratus Corporation develops, licenses, and maintains a suite of web-based
educational products and services that improve overall education
effectiveness and efficiency, while assisting public school districts with
their efforts to comply with...". It is therfore probable that the login may
be part of the Akuratus Convergent Suite which may be used to provide parents
with access to students' grades, chat sessions with teachers and online
student registration.
Another quote from the Akuratus site:
Rather than adapt and retrofit technology to the internet, the Convergent
Suite architecture and design utilizes the latest open source technology.
Interesting.
